Who is Alexander Bear Mace?
Well, nobody really. Just a guy with a story, a purpose, and a dream. A simple fellow with a story filled with love, loss, perseverance, and an insatiable desire to be more than expected. A purpose to show others how to cultivate and share power. And somewhere in all of that, a life-long dream to be a writer and storyteller.
Words have Power. They create and destroy. They harm and heal. Long have I known this, but rarely have I practiced it in true form. In those seldom moments, when I put words to action, in writing, in speech, or in ceremony, I often cultivated a power I did not know I possessed and honor I did not know myself to be worthy of.
I consider these moments among my greatest achievements. So I’ve set myself to cultivate more and share them as widely as I can so I may hone my craft, learn more about myself, and pursue that childhood dream.

Poetry
For the hopeless romantic and hearts long asunder, words of beautiful epiphanies and tragic struggles. My poetry is often manifested in times of intense emotional experiences, sometimes good, sometimes not, but always inspired and meant to convey more meaning than the words can hold. Styles range and include free-verse, rhyming, and occasional single line expressions.
Short Stories
For those seeking a bit more, but still want it rather brief. Short stories are a relatively new format for my craft, so there is still much to be learned. They aim to deliver a quick punch of feeling and more often than not, fall into the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genres. Shorts are either generated from prompts and challenges or they serve as companions to novels in work.
Personal Essays
For those seeking something raw and honest. In the personal essays I share more of my story, from both good and not so good moments in my journey. It is in these where the real lessons, inspiration, and life purpose are found. Some may include trigger warnings, so proceed with caution when prompted.
